| Product Description | The performance that TM-SQUARE sought in the rear bumper was a significant reduction in air resistance (drag) through the creation of new openings, and the securing of stable downforce through the installation of a diffuser. The shape is very spartan, but it is not a design-first bump or opening; it is a shape that was arrived at by pursuing functionality, such as reducing drag and securing downforce. Some of the airflow passing under the vehicle enters the rear bumper, creating a significant drag known as the "parachute effect." Just as a drag racing car deploys a parachute immediately after crossing the finish line to slow down, the rear bumper experiences considerable air resistance (drag) while the vehicle is in motion. Therefore, TM-SQUARE has created new openings in various parts of the rear bumper and placed metal mesh in those areas. This unique shape allows the airflow that enters the rear bumper to be actively vented to the rear, significantly reducing air resistance. |
