| Product Description | HKS air cleaners have good intake efficiency and sound, but they have a weakness in that they tend to suck in hot air from the engine room. Therefore, in addition to the original intake pipe, a small duct is installed under the ECU to directly introduce outside air, and an air separator is installed to effectively utilize the functions of the NC Roadster. (The rubber molding that fills the gap with the bonnet is the key.) Since it is not a completely sealed type, it is possible to efficiently lower the ambient temperature around the air cleaner, and the layout allows for a moderate exchange of fresh air. In particular, depending on the engine requirements, the intake air temperature drops faster than the sealed type. It is made of carbon FRP and is ideal as an accent for the engine room. By installing an air separator, the functionality is improved, but there is one problem. The stays that support the bonnet cannot be stored properly. One solution was to cut a slit to allow it to be stored, but this was discarded because it would have made the upper part, where hot air is concentrated, less airtight. |
| Remarks | In a similar situation, the NA/NB Roadster had measures such as making the stays removable, but the NC has a smart solution, so we have set up a low-priced bonnet damper. We highly recommend purchasing the set. (Autoexe's bonnet damper can also be used.) Please note: Although the Trust air cleaner kit has a similar shape to the HKS air cleaner, the dimensions are completely different, so this product cannot be used. |
