| Product Description | We continue to think of the best exhaust system for Honda Sport. One of the things Honda sports have in common is the pleasant engine feel. The muffler is one of the important parts that make this comfortable. The sound that gives a sense of exhilaration and the improvement of output by improving efficiency are important parts of tuning that makes Honda sports even more pleasant. We are continuing to test at various stages in order to create a muffler that realizes the comfort that the driver feels. In the 2021 FK8 Thunderhill 25 hour race, we installed the product N1 muffler kit. Especially in long races, if the volume is too loud, drivers will feel fatigued and lose concentration. However, if the sound is too low, the feeling of exhilaration will be lacking and it will be difficult to concentrate on driving. Our product, the N1 muffler, has sufficient specs, so we actually tested it at the race to see how the sound would affect the driver in a long race. After the race, the drivers gave us high marks, such as that the volume was moderate enough to prevent fatigue, and that the sound quality was good enough to drive comfortably. This N1 muffler kit for FL5 was developed using the experience gained there. The pipe diameter and silencer position were laid out based on flow bench simulation data, and optimized through repeated tests on actual vehicles. In anticipation of boost up, matching with upgraded turbo, and use in racing, the front pipe and main pipe diameters are set to φ70, and the tail part adopts a φ145 cannonball type silencer and a φ80 end pipe.
